Hi Dan,

The alignment specifies a value that will be a bin boundary. For example, if the bin width is 10 and the alignment is 2, there will be bin boundaries at -8, 2, 12, 24, …. The alignment parameter need not be a value that’s visible on the axis; e.g. all the data values might be between 80 and 100, but you can still specify an alignment of zero.
