Sort Data in a Table

You can change the order of cases in a collection by sorting one or more attributes (one at a time) in a case table.

  1. Select the attribute you want to sort (click on the name of the attribute in the top row of the table).
  2. From the drop-down menu, choose Sort Ascending (or Sort Descending).

The result after sorting by LifeSpan (years) ascending:

Note that when data is sorted in a table in CODAP, the automatic case index numbers (found in the leftmost column) regenerate. In other words, the top row is always index no. 1, the row directly below is index no. 2, etc.
