    Hello,

I’m wondering if someone at CODAP might be able to fix a few small issues with the tutorials that I’m hoping to have my students complete on their iPads next month.  I’m referring to the tutorials at this site https://codap.concord.org/get-started/tutorials/ when viewed on the iPad.  The V3 Beta version seems easier to use on the iPad, so my preference is to use the Beta.  Some of the issues below are occurring on both V2 and V3.

    1. For Tutorial #1 – Steps are different on the iPad vs. computer browser.  I tried it on both Safari and Chrome on the iPad… same result.  The first step on Tutorial 1 when viewed on a computer is “Drag this data file…”, while the first step on the iPad “Make a table using Mammals data…” yet the table is already there.

    2. For Tutorials #3, #5, & #6 – The directions for the first step of these tutorials do not show up on the iPad.  It just shows the link “Show me.”  Also, in all these cases that first step doesn’t check upon completion of the step.

    3.  On the V3 Beta on the iPad:

    i.  Tutorial #4 – The 5th step doesn’t check upon completion of that step.

ii.  Tutorial #7 – The 3rd, 5th, and 7th steps do not check upon completion.

I verified I’m using the exact same link on the different devices.

Thanks for any help looking into these issues!

    Jon

    Hello Jon,

Thanks very much for pointing out these problems. The only one I know for sure about is Tutorial 1 on the iPad. There is a problem getting the drag of the data from the tutorial into CODAP that we haven’t ever been able to solve. That said, it shouldn’t be the case that the case table is already present.

I’ll put these issues into our bug database. I can’t promise we’ll have them fixed by next month though.

    Best,

    Bill

Great. Thanks so much for working on these!  No worries if it’s not possible to fix in the next month.  I can work around the issues if needed.

    Much appreciated!
