I changed an attribute type to “date” to see what impact that would have – it didn’t do what I wanted it to do, so I changed it back again to numeric, but the values seem to have been permanently changed.  To be more specific, the values of “year” that I had I had were years (e.g. 1998, 1999), but not in date format.  I made a graph with “year” on an axis, I got what I wanted (i.e. with year plotted appropriately).  As an experiment, though, I changed the attribute type to ‘date” and replotted the graph – oops, not good.  So, I changed the attribute type back to “numeric” and made a new graph – but now the values don’t show up at all.  Is this a bug?

    Hi Andee,

Definitely a bug. Thanks for reporting it. Dates give us a lot of trouble here in CODAP-land.

Yes, I can imagine that dates are the kind of thing you end up spending WAY too much time on!
