I’m still trying to explore how CODAP compares to TinkerPlots.
On TinkerPlots, we were able to ask students collect samples with two independent variables by having them link samplers. So, e.g. they simulated rolling two dice, and find p-values for randomization problems. If I’m understanding the software correctly, I can’t do that on CODAP. (At least not without computing the combined sample space by hand: I could simulate rolling two dice by creating a table with all 36 two-die combinations.) A sample I collect on CODAP can have multiple variables, but not multiple sources of randomness, unless I build the randomness in my hand.
is that right?
