    Hello,

I’m trying to create a histogram after grouping points in bins, but the “Fuse Into Bars” option is not showing up on the Configuration menu for the V3 Beta file below.  I’m probably just missing something.  Thanks for any help!

    Hi Jon,

I’m not sure why you aren’t seeing the option after grouping points into bins. I’ve enclosed a screen capture of what I see. Let us know what’s different for you, please.

    Hi Jon,

Ah, thanks for the shared document! It explains the problem you’re having.

CODAP doesn’t allow you to split a histogram with a categorical attribute on the same side as the Count axis because it would require both a numeric and categorical axis in the same space. But you can split it on the opposite side as shown in the screenshot I’ve enclosed.

    Does that satisfy your need?

    Hi Bill,

That works great!  I didn’t realize I could drag a vertical attribute to the right side of the graph.  Sweet!

    Thanks!

    Jon
