    Hi Jonathan,

Basically is every URL with any CODAP file you load. I tried today again with this URL: https://codap.concord.org/releases/latest/static/dg/es/cert/index.html#file=examples:Mamiferos

Just to add that the problem is just with Chrome. Firefox and Safari work fine.

My Chrome version is: 66.0.3359.117 (Build oficial) (64 bits)

    Hi Bill,

    Please don’t forget this topic!!

In two days (this Thursday) I have the second part of a workshop that I’m teaching to secondary Science teachers and I promised to show them how to create data from a simulation model (in Spanish, haha).

    Thanks for your help.

    Kind regards,

    Cristián

    Hi Jonathan,

Now I’ve updated my Mac to 10.13.4 (High Sierra) and the error still persists while trying to capture a screenshot of a graph, BUT…… it did work with the version from the link you sent me!!

Let me know what should I do to fix the error (the version running on the link you sent me it’s 440 as well).

    Kind regards,

    Cristián

Thanks Bill. I’ve updated my Mac to 10.12 (Sierra) but the bug is still there. I’m not sure if my Mac is able to get updated up to OSX 13.4 since it’s an early 2011. Nevertheless, it’s a good argument to convince my wife that I need a new Mac haha.

    Thanks for your help.

    Kind regards,

    Cristián

    Hi Bill,

I got this error with every CODAP file, no matter the language nor the file while trying to do a screencapture of a graph (but also when trying to access other tools).

    The error console says:

    sent to log server: {“activity”:”Unknown”,”application”:”CODAP”,”session”:”180422105653-050680″,”time”:1524405529019,”event”:”error”,”event_value”:”{\”message\”: \”Exception: SecurityError: Failed to read the ‘rules’ property from ‘CSSStyleSheet’: Cannot access rules\”}”,”parameters”:{“message”:”Exception: SecurityError: Failed to read the ‘rules’ property from ‘CSSStyleSheet’: Cannot access rules”}}

Apparently, the error also occurs in Firefox but while this browser tries it as a warning, Chrome stops the execution. At least this is what I’ve read in other forums about this same error in different webtools.

Following this link you will see a very technical (but clear) possible explanation for this error in Chrome in Stackoverflow forums.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,

    Cristián

    Hi Bill,

The error does not reproduce in Firefox nor Safari, but it does on Chrome (latest version) under OSX 10.11.6

A brief Google search using the error message as the key word yielded this result:

I don’t know what does this mean.

I also tried cleaning the caché pero the error is still there.

    Kind regards,

in reply to: Date format in Spanish language #511

Thanks Jonathan, I totally understand the point. Fortunately, the issue can be fixed using Excel and changing the format for the English language.

Similar situation with decimal separator, this can be fixed changing the format within the OS system (OSX in my case).

Thanks a lot Bill!! This is great. I was affraid of being asking very basic/silly questions…

Glad to hear that this is a shared concern.

in reply to: Using my sensors within CODAP #507

Thanks a lot Scott for your detailed explanation!!

I’m using LabMate+ through USB, not bluetooth. I tried with the Sensor Interactive and Sensor Connector with no luck.

The SDK that Fourier/EinsteinWorld provides is just for mobile technology  (Android/iOS).

Let me know if you find the old Fourier code that you developed and see if that works. If not, I will continue working with MiLab and MultiLab as the record loggers and will export the data as CSV into CODAP. This works fine by the way.

Creating a plugin or modifying sensor connector are far away beyond my technical knowledge.

    Thanks again for your support.

in reply to: The logic of parent-child tables & graphs #504

Hi Bill, thanks for your help. Now it’s clear for me that both organizations are possible just one at a time. And good trick to open a new window showing the graph as a picture!!

Going one more step beyond the issue, I would like to understand -conceptually- when it’s necessary to create a parent table.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks everyone!!
I cannot precisely say how this happened but was while moving & renaming columns.

in reply to: Getting a NetLogo model to work in CODAP #377

Thanks Dan. My model wasn’t available for you because I’ve changed its name temporarily, now it is online again.

A couple of days before, I tried different models within the same servers and had no problem with CODAP showing them. That’s why I thought that the secure thing was something new on CODAP (I saw that even I use “http”, CODAP turns it into “https” also adding a “?lang=en” string at the end of the filename, try yourself if you want)

The good news is that I modified my model code based on your directions and then hosted my file on GitHub (which is a secure server) and my model is working fine with CODAP!!

    See screenshot attached.

    Thanks a lot again!!
