Basemap not showing up in CODAP

Hi there,

Trying to use codap to map stations given by latitude and longitude in a CSV file but I cannot get the basemap to show up. The stations themselves plot correctly on the map but there is no basemap – even if I toggle between ‘ocean’, topography, and ‘street’ options. Is there a way to resolve this issue?

Hello,

To get the basemap CODAP makes the following request:

https://static.arcgis.com/attribution/World_Topo_Map?f=json

If you click on the link or paste it into your browser URL bar, do you get anything? (It should be a bunch of JSON code.)

If you don’t see anything then, then there may be some firewall restriction imposed by your site. (Not that I can think why there should be.)

If you can create a shared link for the document, we can verify that it’s working in general.
